Guest Conductor: Seanne Pfeifer

Seanne Pfeifer, guest conductor of the Mid-Michigan Brass Band for the 2022 fall season, is thrilled to bring the band to its first competition. She began her studies under the direction of Dr. MaryAnn Craig at Montclair State University, completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Saginaw Valley State University, and received her Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology from Central Michigan University. She is currently the Elementary Music Educator at Beaverton Schools in Beaverton, Michigan.

Seanne participated in the Brass Band of Battle Creek’s Camp Avalon in the early 2000s, where she made many life-long friends in the Brass Banding Community.  She is an avid Brass Band supporter and has been a performing member of the MMBB since 2015. She has toured with the combined MMBB and Pangbourne and District Silver band in 2019.  She participates on the Board of Directors for the “Leonard Falcone International Euphonium and Tuba Festival” and performs in various other community ensembles, including the East Shore Wind Symphony, the Frohliche Musiker Blastorchester, Bay Concert Band and Classic Legacy Band of Saginaw.

She is also a proud mother to two sets of twin daughters, an avid runner, and Beaverton School Junior High track and field coach.
